Back to School
Is it that time of year already ?
So there it is. The Irish summer that never really was. It’s probably fair to say that, at least in this country, we rarely get to enjoy a summer like some of our European neighbours. Some might say that ‘an Irish summer’ is somewhat of a misnomer!
However, all joking aside, what we do know for certain, is that our global climate is changing. It’s harder and harder to predict what we can expect in terms of our weather.
But, whatever the uncertainty of the future, there is one event that we all have to look forward to shortly. It’s Back to School time again!
We know that it can be a time of mixed emotions for parents. The stress that comes with sourcing school uniforms, books and finding a routine that fits in with the rest of the family. But we also know, that setting good habits from the start can help everyone ease into a smoother transition.
We believe that our kids have a great appetite for helping our environment through this challenging time and Greta Thunberg states that children are never too small to make a difference.
While our children are young and bursting with a thirst to learn, we feel that it is our duty to embrace this and give them the support they need.
At Wasted.ie we want to help you a little with some advice on how you can educate your kids (and family) on making sustainable choices for the good of our planet. Back to School is a busy time and we want to help you to make it easier for you to choose some eco-friendly products at the same time.
To kick off our Back to School initiative, we’ve put together an eco-friendly, sustainably produced Back to School kit and are giving our readers a chance to win one for their kids!
