Nissan Leaf still the top choice for EV drivers
The Nissan LEAF is driven by half of the people in Ireland driving an electric vehicle.
It is also the best selling electric car in 18 countries.
“The Nissan LEAF continues to break all records for EV sales in Ireland and is firmly established as Ireland’s and the world’s favourite EV. It is the undisputed leader for families and businesses switching to EV driving to save money and the environment,” said James McCarthy, CEO of Nissan Ireland.
Nissan has made the move to clean up the national car fleet and to support consumers who want to drive electric to reduce their carbon footprint.
“Bring us your old polluting car and we’ll give up to €3,500 to put towards the cost of driving away in a brand new, zero emissions Nissan LEAF,” said McCarthy, an initiative that has certainly won over the minds of many an EV customer.
Nissan believe that those who make the switch will love it, but in the case that they don’t – Nissan will allow them to swap instead to a brand new Qashqai, at no extra cost.
Consumers who want to test-drive the Nissan LEAF and to learn more, can either visit their local Nissan dealer or check out www.nissan.ie
